Welcome to the openEHR Technical Course! This course has been developed in collaboration between Rosaldo Oy and Dr Sidharth Ramesh, who also serves as the course facilitator. Dr Ramesh is the Founder and CEO of Medblocks, a company specialising in eHealth systems development, consultancy, and training with a strong focus on openEHR and HL7 FHIR. He brings extensive hands-on experience and insight into open digital health platforms. Whether you're studying as part of a team or individually, we strongly encourage active engagement throughout the course. Discussing, commenting, and asking questions, either with fellow participants or directly with the facilitator, will enrich your learning experience and help you explore the material from multiple perspectives. A certificate of completion will be awarded to all learners who finish the course.

openEHR Technical Overview
This self-paced course, developed by Rosaldo Oy in collaboration with Dr. Sidharth Ramesh (Founder & CEO of Medblocks), offers a comprehensive introduction to the technical aspects of openEHR. Designed for health IT professionals, developers, and digital health architects, the course provides hands-on experience with:
- Setting up EHRbase using Docker Compose
- Interacting with openEHR REST APIs
- Creating templates with Archetype Designer
- Building user interfaces using Medblocks UI
- Crafting queries with Archetype Query Language (AQL)
The curriculum is divided into six sections, starting with foundational concepts like multi-level modeling and the Clinical Knowledge Manager (CKM), and progressing to advanced topics such as application development and real-world integration challenges. Participants are encouraged to engage actively with facilitators and peers to deepen their understanding. Upon completion, learners receive a certificate, recognising their proficiency in openEHR technical implementation
