Advanced Clinical Modelling £945 per person

Welcome to the Advanced openEHR Clinical Modelling Course! This course has been developed through a collaboration between Rosaldo Oy and freshEHR Clinical Informatics Ltd. The course materials have been prepared by Dr Ian McNicoll, Heidi Koikkalainen, and David Jobling, who also serve as your course facilitators. Ian, Director of freshEHR, brings over 30 years of experience in health informatics, while Heidi and David have been actively working as openEHR clinical modellers since early 2020.

Whether you’re studying as part of a team or independently, we encourage active engagement throughout the course. Discussing, commenting, and asking questions, either with fellow participants or directly with the facilitators, will help you explore the material from multiple perspectives and deepen your understanding.

A certificate of completion will be awarded to all learners who successfully complete the course.

Advanced openEHR Clinical Modelling Overview

Developed collaboratively by Rosaldo Oy and freshEHR Clinical Informatics Ltd, this self-paced course is designed for health IT professionals, clinicians, and digital transformation leaders seeking to deepen their expertise in openEHR clinical modelling. The course offers a comprehensive exploration of advanced concepts and practical skills necessary for effective clinical data modelling.​


Key Learning Outcomes:


  • Understand the openEHR Reference Model and its application in clinical modelling.
     
  • Utilise tools such as Archetype Designer, Clinical Knowledge Manager (CKM), and XMind for developing and managing archetypes and templates.
     
  • Apply principles of archetype reuse and mapping to existing data structures.
     
  • Develop new archetypes and manage external terminologies within templates.
     
  • Navigate the archetype review, governance, and localisation processes.​
     

The course is structured into 12 comprehensive modules, each building upon the previous to ensure a solid understanding of advanced clinical modelling techniques. Participants engage with practical exercises based on real-world use cases, facilitating the application of learned concepts. Upon successful completion, learners receive a certificate, recognising their proficiency in advanced openEHR clinical modelling.
